Warehouse Operative
We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our ever-growing, fast paced team.
The role of a warehouse operative is pivotal in ensuring smooth warehouse operations and timely delivery of goods to customers.
As a Warehouse Operative you will:
Process orders through our well established systems
Pick and pack orders for shipment
Organise and retrieve stock in the warehouse
Inspect products for defects and damages
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Keep accurate records of inventory and stock levels
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
About you:
Proven experience in a warehouse environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
Excellent organisational skills
Strong decision-making abilities
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Proficiency in using computers and software
Positive and patient demeanour
Strong attention to detail for accuracy
Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction
Industry experience is preferred but not essential

- COMPETITION PLANNER
Competition Planner
Capital Competitions is a leading online competition retailer specialising in competitions for the Angling and Vehicle industry. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a highly talented, organised, and proactive individual to join our competition planning team to assist with loading competitions onto our two competition e-commerce platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, able to work in a fast paced environment, and be adaptive. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Previous positions this role would suit would be: Store Manager/Assistant Manager, Product Developer, Buyer/Assistant Buyer/Merchandiser within the angling industry.
As a Competition Planner you will:Keep up to date with new product trends/launches and competition types
Plan competitions for our Carp and Coarse fishing Competition Websites
Work closely with our Purchasing Team to ensure stock for competitions is readily available
Work closely with our marketing team to provide competition statistics and metrics
Key Responsibilities:
Planning Competitions
Stock Allocations
Creating/Arranging Competitions Assets
Creating Competitions on wordpress website
Working with budgets for financials and commercials
About you:
Proficient with Google Sheets / Excel
Proficient in e-commerce platforms, especially wordpress platforms
Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva
Proficient in using a stock control system and good understanding of e-commerce operational processes
Good understanding of the Angling industry
Analytical skills to interpret data and improve site merchandising
Highly organised with the ability to multitask effectively
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Photography skills are a bonus

- PURCHASING MANAGER
Purchasing Manager
We are looking for a highly organised and strategic Purchasing Manager to join our team, and oversee our procurement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, a good commercial mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
As a Purchasing Manager you will:Monitor and analyse purchasing data, inventory levels, and market trends to forecast future needs
Manage purchase orders, contracts, and procurement documentation in compliance with company policies
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment and efficiency in purchasing operations
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company objectives
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing, terms, and quality
Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure continuous supply and resolve any issues regarding quality, delivery, or cost
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for procurement and report on cost savings and supplier performance
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and risk mitigation
About you:
Proficient in using a stock control system and good understanding of e-commerce operational processes
Good understanding of the Angling industry is preferred, but not essential
Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role
Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills with a good commercial mindset
Excellent knowledge of procurement software, ERP systems, and Google Suite
Understanding of supply chain management, contract law, and vendor management
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
Highly organised with the ability to multitask effectively
